Magistrates and Crown Court

We understand that the thought of making a court appearance can be extremely worrying and stressful. We are here to help with all aspects of the court process, including:

We will provide advice and representation throughout. We have been granted a contract by the Legal Aid Agency to carry out publicly funded work for many years. This is as a result of satisfying the Agency of our level of professional excellence. As such, we can provide representation free of charge by way of Legal Aid (subject to your means and an interest of justice test). Alternatively, if you are financially ineligible for free representation we offer extremely competitive private rates which will always be discussed and agreed with you in advance.

Fixed Fee - Magistrates Matters only.

If you intend to plead guilty and your case will be dealt with in the Magistrates’ Court, we are able to deal with your case on a fixed fee basis. This fixed fee would be £500 plus VAT at 20% totalling £600. Please note this figure includes preparation, advice and representation at court, but is limited to advice only in respect of any appeal. If it was necessary to obtain specific expert reports then we would discuss that cost with you prior to instructing any expert on your behalf. You would have to pay the expert's cost in addition to our fixed fee.

If you intend to plead not guilty and your case will be dealt with in the Magistrates’ Court, we are able to deal with your case on a fixed fee basis. This fixed fee would be £1000 plus VAT at 20% totalling £1200. Please note this figure includes preparation, advice and representation at court, but is limited to advice only in respect of any appeal. If it was necessary to obtain specific expert reports then we would discuss that cost with you prior to instructing any expert on your behalf. You would have to pay the expert's cost in addition to our fixed fee.
